Every year, around Christmas time, the Rotary Club of Toronto hosts a Christmas party for disabled children at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. Every year before 2014, they sent out paper invitations to each of the hundreds of guests. I developed an online invitation that was sent by email to each guest, and coallated in a single, central database.
After getting a significant amount of development and hosting experience, I incorporated Penguinleaf Technologies in order to take advantage of the benefits to corporations that I would now be able to access providing services as an individual.
During the summer between high school and university, I worked as part of Moneris Solutions' Morris ecommerce and point-of-sale system. My role consisted of training merchants preparing to adopt the system and reviewing the client-facing interface and coding interface adjustments in Javascript such as a drag-and-drop photo upload solution.
I graduated from the Toronto French School with a Billingual International Baccalaureate Diploma. The aim of the IB is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the plantet, help to create a more peaceful world. At TFS I was very active in extra-curricular school activities, particularly in supporting IT and the theatre, for which I was one of two students awarded the Parent's Association Award for exceptional school contribution.
